Serena Nickson (b. 1997) is a New York-based painter whose work explores identity and memory, focusing on how personal and familial histories become altered through recollection and how the past continues to inhabit the present. Through emotionally charged portraits, gestural figurative landscapes, and quiet interiors, Nickson investigates themes of absence, longing, and nostalgia. She received her BFA in 2020 from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study and has since exhibited at Eric Firestone, Onna House, and JO-HS. Her work is held in both private and institutional collections.
